Crazy Hair Week

Wear your craziest hair to class the week of Monday, May 4th through Saturday, May 9th!

T-shirts have been ordered and will be arriving soon.

Costumes

Costumes are being passed out. Please label all costumes and costume pieces including tights, shoes, head pieces, and all accessories. Please make sure that the dancers have the correct tights and shoes for each costume/dance. For more information please go to the COSTUMES page.

Daddy-Daughter Dances

“We Go Together” dads will need black dress pants, white dress shirt, a red tie, and black dress shoes. “Down in New Orleans” dads will need black dress pants, white dress shirt, and black dress shoes.

The final practices are on Saturday, May 9th. Both groups for “Down in New Orleans” will practice @ 4:00-5:00pm. Both groups for “We Go Together” will practice @ 5:00-6:00pm.

The dress rehearsals for the Daddy-Daughter dances are at 6:30pm on Thursday, May 14th and Friday, May 15th.

Recital Fee/Tickets

The recital fee of $110 per dancer/family is due May 4 - 9th. Your tickets will be randomly picked and passed out in your dancer’s ballet class once your recital fee and any outstanding tuition is paid. All dancers/families will receive 10 tickets and a flash drive with a recording of the recital.

Extra tickets will be available for purchase on Monday, May 11th for $10 per ticket. There are no refunds or exchanges on tickets.

Dress Rehearsal/Recital

Mark your calendars! Dress rehearsal for CAST A is Thursday, May 14th @ 4:30-8:00. Dress rehearsal for CAST B is Friday, May 15th @ 4:30-8:00. You may take photos and video at the dress rehearsals. Please NO FOOD IN THE AUDITORIUM.

The recitals are Saturday, May 16th. The CAST A recital is at 1:00pm, the CAST B recital is at 6:00pm. Please…no flash photography or recording of the recital on Saturday. This is for the enjoyment of everyone and the safety of the dancers. Just sit back and enjoy the show! Please NO FOOD IN THE AUDITORIUM.

Dress rehearsals and recital are performed at the Brandon Performing Arts Center at the high school.

Studio Information

Just a friendly reminder as we are still trying to clean in-between classes, try to arrive promptly at your class time so the waiting room does not get so congested. Parents remember if you are bringing your dancers in, please get them settled in a chair with their dance shoes on and then come back at the end of class for pick-up.

Waiver of Liability Relating to Coronavirus/COVID-19

The novel coronavirus, COVID-19, has been declared a worldwide pandemic by the World Health Organization. COVID-19 is reported to be extremely contagious. The state of medical knowledge is evolving, but the virus is believed to spread from person-to-person contact and/or by contact with contaminated surfaces and objects, and even possibly in the air. People reportedly can be infected and show no symptoms and therefore spread the disease. The exact methods of spread and contraction are unknown, and there is no known treatment, cure, or vaccine for COVID-19. Evidence has shown that COVID-19 can cause serious and potentially life threatening illness and even death.

Lynn’s Dance Studio cannot prevent you [or your child(ren)] from becoming exposed to, contracting, or spreading COVID-19 while participating in our services or premises. It is not possible to prevent against the presence of the disease. Therefore, if you choose to participate and/or enter onto Lynn’s Dance Studio’s premises or any premises where the recital will be held, you may be exposing yourself to and/or increasing your risk of contracting or spreading COVID-19.

ASSUMPTION OF RISK: I have read and understood the above warning concerning COVID-19. I hereby choose to accept the risk of contracting COVID-19 for myself and/or my children in order to participate and/or enter the dance studio’s premises or the premises of wherever the dance recital may be held. These services are of such value to me [and/or to my children,] that I accept the risk of being exposed to, contracting, and/or spreading COVID-19 in order to participate and/or enter either the studio or recital premises in person.

WAIVER OF LAWSUIT/LIABILITY: I hereby forever release and waive my right to bring suit against Lynn’s Dance Studio and its owners, officers, directors, managers, officials, trustees, agents, employees, or other representatives in connection with exposure, infection, and/or spread of COVID-19 related to utilizing Lynn’s Dance Studio’s services and premises in addition to any premises the recital may be held. I understand that this waiver means I give up my right to bring any claims including for personal injuries, death, disease or property losses, or any other loss, including but not limited to claims of negligence and give up any claim I may have to seek damages, whether known or unknown, foreseen or unforeseen.

CHOICE OF LAW: I understand and agree that the law of the State of Michigan will apply to this contract.
